Trick or Treat for a cause! This Halloween, join us in going door to door to start weaving the community food recovery web in Long Branch. Dress up, have fun, and hand out materials about the Food Savers project. Don't worry, you can keep the candy!

About the event
Calling all web weavers! We are weaving a community food recovery web to get unneeded food from donors to groups and organizations who give to those in need in Long Branch! This Halloween, join us in going door to door (or business to business) to share materials on the Food Savers project. Neighbors will hang a "Web in the Window" of their home or business to show their support for food recovery.
You don't need to be an expert on food recovery to show your community that it matters to you! Food recovery (donating or recyling extra food instead of throwing it away) helps fight hunger in our neighborhoods and can help local farmers nourish their crops and their animals.
When you sign up, you will recieve an email from NJfoodsavers@gmail.com with a flyer you can print out to share when trick-or-treating. Hard copies will also be available…
